Wesonator Summer Recap & Autumn Preview

Hi my fellow audio nuts,

It's been a really busy summer. Most of my time has been spent at the beautiful and brand new Studio CMI in Switzerland finishing off the Leelo Pascal album "Couleur Nature". Pascal also asked me to record drums and bass for Amadou's new album and during my last trip over I was asked to record Yassin's killer rap vocals for the Isorane album Leelo is producing.

Between my time in the alps and the cheese fondues, we finished the new Monster Jaw EP "Losing All My Friends" and put the finishing touches on Debi Doss's debut EP "Debi Does ...".

In the mean time, there are a few projects on the stove at the Sonic Cuisine. The Sam Purdey mix is a few tweaks away from completion. Gloria Nuti's new track is making great progress and will soon feature some cool B3 playing. And finally, work is about to start on the new Delta Unit tracks. I'll keep you posted on all these as they come along.

On the media side of things, I had the great honour to interview two of Canada's greatest, GGGarth Richardson and Mike Fraser for Mix Magazine. And I did some cool vids for Tannoy.

That's it for now. Enjoy the reads, the photos and the videos.

As always, See you on the other side of the glass.

Some Audio News From The Sonic Cuisine

Hi all,

A quick post to keep you up to date on what's cooking at the Sonic Cuisine.

I've been spending some quality time up in Bradford with the Monster Jaw lads. We've recorded 4 new songs which we're in the middle of mixing.

Also just completed a mini tour with Australian hard rock band Deth Enemy in Germany, The Netherlands and the UK. Mix work continues on the next Delta Unit instalment and I had the great pleasure of recording the amazing Elliott Randall for a Samuel Purdey song, which we'll start mixing in June.

I'll be in the Swiss mountains for 3 weeks, mixing Leelo Pascal's new album in his wonderful studio.

So, you can expect various social media updates on that. And talking about social media, I stumbled across one of Barry Rudolph's posts. Have a looksie, it's an all-star cast.

Keep in touch, see you when I get back.

Mixing it up at The Sonic Cuisine

It's been a couple of busy weeks at The Sonic Cuisine. Another 6 mixes on the way for Underground Ally, Monster Jaw's new track Summer Girl completed and a new one in the making. I made a brief and fun excursion to Soho Sound Kitchen to record more vocals for Chuggington and did a killer remix with Abstract Source of Ørjan Vatne's My Gipsy Dream.

On the equipment list, we've added a bunch of fun  Ross, Electro-Harmonix, Black Cat and Rocktronics pedals, MC Audio Lab's amazing Luna and trusty old Drawmer DL 231.
